I’ve always been crazy for sneakers in very weird ways. When I was a kid I had a thing for boots, I had Chico Bento’s little boots, I loved that low cut little boots. I watched a lot of Highlander, and he always wearing those boots, and to me, that was the pinnacle of being a man. Not to mention motorcycle boots because of The Future Terminator 2. So, I had boots just like those when I was a kid, but I didn’t pay much attention for sneakers.

Then there was a moment when I liked Rock, I liked the devil – Wore full black only, right? So all the sneakers I had were Black and boring. Eventually, I began to change, and the first colorful sneaker I had was a Nike Shox, that first model blue and black. I got this sneaker for Christmas in 2001, also got a PlayStation 2 and a Linkin Park CD. And it was this combo that ruined my life and got to where I am today. From that point, I started to understand that colorful sneakers were cool, but I only really got into it when I was 17 or 18 years old.

The first sneakers that I bought deliberately because they were different, was a Run Athletics x Mario Nintendo Legacy, that were produced only 800 pairs in the world. They are ugly as fuck, white, which I don’t really like because they get dirty too quick but I like them because they are Mario’s. Since then, cool stuff that’s not too expensive, I buy. Even so that these rare ones I have, I only bought them because I thought they looked nice. I’m glad for my recent discovery and financial security that these sneakers can give me (laughs).

They are very special to me because not only are they really different, but they have colorful polka dots on them, purple and green details and that pump look that makes them just a different looking sneaker. Since they’re really comfortable, they’ve accompanied me through numerous jobs that required days and days of walking, it’s the sneaker that provides me with the most comfortable and stylish walks. It’s great combining useful with pleasant.
